St Johns Reserves travelled to Saval on Sunday to take on the home club in their ACPRL Division 2 clash.  A strong Saval side started the better of the teams and led 0-8 to 0-2 midway through the first half but the Johnnies kept in touch thanks in part to a well worked team goal which was finished to the net by Conor Braniff.  By the time the half time whistle blew the Johnnies had cancelled out the Saval lead to leave the half time score Saval 0-10 St Johns 1-7.

St Johns could not repeat their first half performance in the second half and Saval dominated the half to end up convincing winners on a scoreline of Saval 2-10 St Johns 1-8
