Soon after Danny McKay added what was St Johns last point of the half after a good lay of from Damien Murray. Glassdrumman were now able to find plenty of space up from and the Johnnies were punished as Glassdrumman hit 1-3 without return. Alan Henderson grabbed a goal near the end of the half to revitalise the Johnnies although the score at the half was 1-8 to 1-5.
